VIVAnews - Drinking hot coffee every day not only extend life expectancy. Starting the day with a sip sweet coffee, the brain's performance turned out to be more effective so that the memory increases.
Influence of coffee drinking sweet on the ability to remember a person has been found researchers at the University of Barcelona, Spain, as the Times Of India pages. The results have been published in the journal Human Psychopharmacology: Clinical and Experimental.
The researchers found caffeine in coffee has other effects on brain function when combined with glucose, or sugar. The effect is like working memory and attention span.
These findings come from the brain scans performed on 40 volunteers who previously tested carefully. Before the scan, volunteers who have been divided as a group, are asked sweet coffee drink, coffee without sugar, and water is sweet.
"The two substances that enhance cognitive performance by increasing the efficiency of the two regions in the brain that is responsible for sustained attention and working memory," said researcher Dr Josep Serra Grabulosa, quoted by the Daily Mail.
"The brain is more efficient under the combined influence of two substances that, because it requires fewer resources to produce the same performance level than when the volunteers only take caffeine, glucose or water," added Grabulosa.
Nevertheless, coffee lovers who do not like sweet coffee still get the same benefits in a way to enjoy sweet snack while sipping coffee.
Previously, the influence of coffee drinking on one's age was found by researchers at the University of Athens. Research results have been released at the congress of The European Society of Cardiology in Stockholm.
