Indonesian Coffee Exporters to Germany's Third Largest




London (ANTARA News) - Indonesia is the third largest coffee exporter to Germany and although the economic crisis hit the world, Indonesia can export 84 thousand tons of coffee to Germany during 2009 or the third after Brazil and Vietnam, according to the correspondence between the Consulate General Hamburg, Sunday morning pm. 


Secretary General of the German Coffee Association, Holger Preibisch in business meetings and lunch with the Consul General Hamburg Teuku Darmawan said German consumer coffee robusta and arabica coffee like Indonesia because it was unique and good quality.

For the Consulate and the ITPC Hamburg seeks to intensify promotion of coffee in Indonesia through an intensive cooperation with the German Coffee Association of the German entrepreneur coffee, coffee diantaranjya through international exhibitions such as Coteca June and Germany Coffee Day celebration next September. 


Consul General Teuku Darmawan said Indonesia had signed up to participate in opening stand of 36 m2 in Coteca by inviting several national private entrepreneurs in the field of coffee, tea and chocolate. 


German Coffee Association welcomes the participation of Indonesia at Coteca and willing to help promote business meetings between businessmen of Indonesian coffee with potential partners from Germany. 


Preibisch also said he and some German coffee businessmen will visit Indonesia next October in the framework of "The 23rd International Conference on Coffee Science" in Bali. 


Hamburg Consul General expressed readiness to facilitate a meeting of stakeholders of Indonesian coffee with the Germans, besides offering an extension of time requests so that the Secretary General of the German Coffee Association and the German coffee entrepreneurs the opportunity to attend the Trade Expo Indonesia 2010. 


In an effort to improve Indonesia's coffee trade - Germany, Hamburg Consulate General and the ITPC Indonesian coffee is ready to help entrepreneurs who are interested in establishing business relations with German coffee entrepreneurs. 


Germany's coffee consumers have long known of the Indonesian coffees such as Sumatra Luwak Coffee, Toraja Coffee, Coffee Papua, Flores and Coffee Coffee Gayo Aceh. Indonesian coffees are able to be in coffee shops in Germany.
